Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

the future. You must keep your account information accurate and up to
date.
Account Security: You are responsible for
safeguarding your login credentials. Notify us immediately if you
suspect unauthorized use.
Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old (see
Section 2). By creating an account, you affirm you meet eligibility
requirements.
2. Age Restrictions (COPPA Compliance)
-
The App is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
data from children under 13 in compliance with COPPA.
- Users ages 13–17 must have parent/guardian consent.
-
Accounts created with false ages or misrepresentation will be
terminated, and data may be deleted.
3. Service Availability and Data Responsibility
ClassObjectives is an evolving educational platform. Features, functionality, and user interfaces may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without prior notice as we continue to improve our services.
Data Backup Responsibility: While we implement industry-standard security measures and regular backups, you are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of any critical content or data stored within the App. We strongly recommend regularly exporting or copying important information such as learning objectives, schedules, and class configurations.
No Liability for Data Loss: We are not responsible for any lost, corrupted, inaccessible, or deleted data regardless of the cause, including but not limited to system failures, maintenance activities, software updates, security incidents, or user error. You acknowledge and accept this risk by using our service.
4. User Responsibilities and Content
- Use the App for lawful and educational purposes only.
-
You retain ownership of content you create (e.g., objectives,
schedules, reports). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to
display and operate that content within the App.
-
You may not upload illegal, infringing, obscene, or harmful content.
-
We may remove content or suspend accounts violating these Terms or
applicable law.
4a. Report Generation and Document Creation
Report Generation Features
Educational Reporting Tools: ClassObjectives provides automated report generation capabilities that compile your educational content (learning objectives, class schedules, and related materials) into formatted documents. These reports are designed to support educational planning, administrative requirements, and professional documentation needs.
Report Formats and Availability
Multiple Format Support: Generated reports may be available in various formats including PDF, Microsoft Word (DOCX), and integration with external document services. The availability of specific formats may vary based on your subscription level, technical capabilities, and third-party service availability.
- Free Plan: Access to basic report generation features with potential limitations on format options or generation frequency
- Premium Plan: Enhanced reporting capabilities with additional formats, customization options, and priority processing
User Responsibility for Generated Reports
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Content Accuracy: Verifying that all information in generated reports accurately reflects your intended educational content
- Data Privacy: Ensuring that reports do not contain sensitive student information or violate privacy regulations
- Professional Use: Using reports appropriately within your educational institution's policies and professional standards
- Distribution Control: Managing access to and distribution of generated reports, as they may contain your professional information
Report Generation Limitations
No Guarantee of Availability: Report generation is a complex technical process that may occasionally fail due to system limitations, data formatting issues, or third-party service dependencies. We do not guarantee that reports will always generate successfully or be available for download at all times.
Data Retention for Reports
Temporary Storage: Generated reports may be temporarily cached on our servers to improve performance and user experience. Cached reports may be automatically deleted after a reasonable period to manage storage resources. You are responsible for downloading and maintaining your own copies of important reports.
4b. Google Drive and Google Docs Integration
Third-Party Service Integration
Google Services Integration: ClassObjectives may offer integration with Google services, including Google Drive and Google Docs, to enhance document creation and sharing capabilities. This integration requires you to grant specific permissions to ClassObjectives through Google's OAuth authorization process.
Required Permissions and Scopes
Authorized Access: To use Google integration features, you must explicitly authorize ClassObjectives to access specific Google services on your behalf. The permissions may include:
- Google Drive File Creation: Permission to create new files in your Google Drive account
- Google Docs Creation and Editing: Permission to create and modify Google Docs documents
- File Management: Limited access to manage files created by ClassObjectives within your Google account
Your Control Over Google Integration
Authentication vs. Integration: While ClassObjectives requires Google OAuth for account authentication (sign-in), additional Google service integrations for document creation are entirely optional. You may choose to:
- Use only the required Google OAuth authentication without authorizing additional Google services
- Authorize additional Google services (Drive, Docs) only when you want to use document creation features
- Revoke additional Google service permissions at any time through your Google account settings without affecting your ability to sign in
- Re-authorize additional permissions if needed for continued document integration functionality
Data Flow and Privacy with Google Services
Limited Data Transfer: When you use Google integration features, ClassObjectives will:
- Send Only Report Content: Transfer only the educational content you choose to export (learning objectives, schedules, etc.) to Google services
- Create Documents in Your Account: Create Google Docs directly in your personal Google Drive, not on our servers
- No Access to Existing Files: We do not access, read, modify, or delete your existing Google Drive files or documents
- No Data Storage: We do not permanently store your Google account information beyond the authorization tokens necessary for integration
Google Services Terms and Privacy
Third-Party Governance: Your use of Google services through ClassObjectives integration is also governed by:
- Google's Terms of Service
- Google's Privacy Policy
- Google Workspace or Google Drive specific terms that apply to your Google account
Independent Relationship: ClassObjectives is not affiliated with Google and is not responsible for Google's services, policies, or any issues with your Google account.
Integration Limitations and Reliability
Service Dependencies: Google integration features depend on:
- Continued availability of Google APIs and services
- Maintenance of your Google account in good standing
- Compatibility between ClassObjectives and Google's evolving service requirements
- Internet connectivity and system availability on both platforms
No Guarantee of Continued Integration: We cannot guarantee that Google integration will always be available. Google may change their APIs, terms, or policies in ways that affect or eliminate integration capabilities. We may also discontinue Google integration features at our discretion.
User Responsibility for Google Integration
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Google Account Compliance: Ensuring your Google account complies with Google's terms and policies
- Permission Management: Managing and monitoring the permissions you grant to ClassObjectives in your Google account
- Document Security: Securing and managing documents created in your Google Drive through ClassObjectives
- Professional Policies: Ensuring that using Google services for educational content complies with your institution's technology policies
- Data Backup: Maintaining backups of important documents created through the integration
Troubleshooting and Support for Google Integration
Limited Support Scope: Our support for Google integration is limited to the ClassObjectives side of the integration. For issues related to Google account access, Google Drive functionality, or Google Docs features, you may need to contact Google support directly.
Revocation of Google Access
Right to Revoke: You may revoke ClassObjectives' access to your Google account at any time through your Google account security settings. Revocation will immediately disable Google integration features but will not affect other ClassObjectives functionality.
Documents Remain Yours: Any Google Docs or files created through ClassObjectives integration remain in your Google account and under your control, even if you revoke integration permissions.
5. Intellectual Property

capped AI generations).
-
Premium Plan: Paid subscription with advanced
features (unlimited classes, templates, automation, and priority

Payment Processing
Payments are processed via a third party. By purchasing a subscription, you
agree to their terms. We may switch processors in
the future, and your continued use will signify acceptance of their
terms.
Refund Policy
-
Cancellation: Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account settings.
-
Service Continuation: After cancellation, services will remain active through the end of the paid term (current billing cycle for monthly plans, or through the annual period for annual plans).
-
No Prorated Refunds: We generally do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
-
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
7. Merchant of Record and Third-Party Payment Processing
What is a Merchant of Record?
A Merchant of Record (MOR) is the legal entity authorized to process payments on behalf of a business. The MOR is responsible for payment processing, tax collection, compliance with payment regulations, and handling customer billing inquiries and disputes related to payment transactions.
Current Merchant of Record
Premium subscriptions to ClassObjectives are currently processed by LemonSqueezy, which serves as our Merchant of Record. By purchasing a Premium subscription, you acknowledge and agree to:
- LemonSqueezy's Buyer Terms of Service, available at https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/buyer-terms
- LemonSqueezy's handling of payment processing, tax calculations, and billing operations
- LemonSqueezy's data collection and processing practices as outlined in their privacy policy
- Receipt of billing communications and transaction confirmations from LemonSqueezy
Right to Change Merchant of Record
We reserve the right to change our Merchant of Record at any time without prior notice, except where prohibited by applicable law. Changes may occur for various business reasons, including but not limited to:
- Improved payment processing capabilities
- Better tax compliance or international payment support
- Enhanced security features
- Business restructuring or partnerships
When a change occurs, your continued use of Premium services constitutes acceptance of the new Merchant of Record's terms and conditions. You will be notified of any such changes through your registered email address or via notice on our platform, where legally required.
Payment Disputes and Support
For payment-related issues, billing disputes, or refund requests, you may need to contact our current Merchant of Record directly. However, you may also contact us at [email protected] and we will assist in coordinating with the appropriate payment processor.
8. "Unlimited" Services and Fair Use Policy
Definition of "Unlimited" Services
Certain Premium features are marketed as "unlimited" (such as unlimited AI assists, unlimited classes, or other unlimited features). While we do not impose hard numerical limits on these services under normal usage patterns, all "unlimited" services are subject to our Fair Use Policy and technical limitations.
Fair Use Policy
"Unlimited" does not mean unrestricted or without any limitations. Fair use means usage patterns that are:
- Reasonable: Consistent with typical educational use cases and professional teaching workflows
- Non-abusive: Not designed to circumvent service limitations, resell access, or create automated/bulk usage
- Individual: For your personal educational use, not for commercial redistribution or sharing of access
- Technical feasible: Within the bounds of our infrastructure capacity and performance requirements
Rate Limiting and Usage Controls
We reserve the right to implement rate limiting, usage controls, or temporary restrictions on any "unlimited" service to:
- Ensure system performance and availability for all users
- Prevent abuse or misuse of our services
- Maintain service quality and response times
- Protect against automated, scripted, or non-human usage
- Comply with third-party API limitations or costs
Enforcement and Remedies
If we determine that your usage exceeds fair use guidelines, we may, at our sole discretion:
- Issue a warning and request modification of usage patterns
- Implement temporary rate limits on specific features or your account
- Require account review before restoring full unlimited access
- Convert unlimited features to metered usage with appropriate billing adjustments
- Suspend or terminate service for repeated or severe violations
Examples of Fair vs. Unfair Use
✓ Fair Use Examples:
- Creating lesson objectives for your teaching schedule
- Using AI assists for curriculum planning and educational content
- Setting up classes and schedules for your school year
- Regular classroom preparation and teaching activities
✗ Unfair Use Examples:
- Automated scripting or bulk API usage
- Reselling or sharing access to ClassObjectives features
- Using services for non-educational commercial purposes
- Excessive usage that impacts system performance for others
No Refunds for Fair Use Enforcement: Account limitations, rate limiting, or service modifications due to fair use policy violations do not entitle you to refunds or service credits, as the essential educational features remain available within reasonable usage parameters.
9. Service Modifications and Feature Availability
"Coming Soon" and Future Feature Disclaimers
No Guarantee of Future Features: Any features described as "coming soon," "planned," "in development," or similar language on our website, marketing materials, or within the App do not constitute a promise or contractual obligation to deliver such features. We may modify, delay, or cancel planned features at any time without notice or liability.
Your purchase decision should be based solely on features currently available and functional, not on anticipated future developments.
Service and Feature Modifications
Right to Modify Services: We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, functionality, or service component
- Change the scope, availability, or technical specifications of any Premium feature
- Remove or replace features due to technical limitations, legal requirements, or business decisions
- Temporarily disable features for maintenance, security updates, or technical issues
- Integrate, merge, or separate features as part of service improvements
Premium Service Definition
Access to Available Features: Premium subscriptions provide access to the collection of enhanced features and capabilities available in the Premium tier at the time of use, not a guarantee of access to any specific individual feature. Premium service value is derived from the overall enhanced experience and the suite of available premium features, which may change over time.
No Refunds for Feature Changes
Continued Service Value: The temporary or permanent removal, modification, or unavailability of individual Premium features does not:
- Constitute a breach of this agreement
- Entitle you to a full or partial refund
- Invalidate your subscription or service agreement
- Create any liability on our part for damages or losses
Substantial Service Availability: Your Premium subscription remains valid and valuable as long as the core educational platform and a substantial portion of premium features remain available, even if specific individual features are modified or removed.
Exceptions and Significant Changes
Major Service Reductions: If we permanently remove or disable a substantial majority of Premium features such that the service no longer provides meaningful value over the Free tier, we may, at our sole discretion, offer:
- Service credits for future use
- Migration assistance to alternative solutions
- Pro-rated refunds for unused subscription periods
However, normal feature evolution, individual feature removal, temporary unavailability, or changes to specific capabilities do not qualify as major service reductions.
User Remedies
Cancellation Right: If you are dissatisfied with service modifications, your primary remedy is to cancel your subscription, which will prevent future charges while allowing you to use the service through the end of your current billing period.
10. Support Policy
-
Free Users: Email support available at
[email protected], response times not guaranteed.
-
Premium Users: Priority email support. Premium
requests are handled first, but must:
- Be submitted from the email tied to the account, OR
- Be submitted via the in-app support portal.
-
Abuse of support channels may result in delayed responses or account
action.
11. Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
- Account Info: Name and email (via OAuth).
-
Content: Classes, objectives, schedules, and reports you create.
- Usage Data: Device/IP, logs, analytics, report generation activity.
- AI Interaction Data: When you use AI features, we collect the prompts you submit and the AI-generated responses. This data is also transmitted to and processed by third-party AI service providers (see AI Services section for details).
- Third-Party Integration Data: When you authorize Google integration, we temporarily store OAuth authorization tokens necessary to create documents in your Google account. We do not access or store your existing Google Drive files or personal Google data.
-
No Student Data: We do not collect
student-identifiable data.
How We Use Data
- To operate, secure, and improve the App.
- To generate educational reports and documents based on your content.
- To facilitate integration with authorized third-party services like Google Drive and Google Docs.
- To communicate necessary account or billing updates.
- To prevent fraud or abuse.
-
To inform you about related products, services, or features we
believe may be relevant to you (you may opt out of non-essential
marketing communications).
-
To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage statistics and other
relevant information in order to improve our services and
demonstrate value to potential partners, funders, or investors. We
will not share personally identifiable information for this purpose
without your consent.
- Business Analytics and Service Optimization: To maintain anonymized usage data for legitimate business purposes including system performance monitoring, AI feature optimization, fraud detection, and service improvement. When accounts are deleted, this data is pseudonymized by removing all personal identifiers while preserving anonymous system metrics that help us serve all users better.
Sharing of Data
- Never sold.
-
Shared only with trusted vendors (hosting, billing) or when required
by law.
- AI Service Providers: Educational content and prompts are shared with third-party AI services (such as OpenAI) when you use AI features. These services operate under their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
- May be transferred during acquisition/merger.
Data Security
Data is encrypted in transit, stored on secure servers, and audited
periodically.
However, no method is 100% secure. Use at your own risk.
User Rights
- Access, export, or delete your account and data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
GDPR Compliance and Account Deletion
Right to Deletion: You have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal data. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- 30-Day Grace Period: After requesting deletion, your account will be deactivated immediately but data retained for 30 days in case you change your mind or need support assistance.
- Verification Required: Account deletion requires identity verification through date of birth confirmation and full name verification to prevent unauthorized deletions.
- Personal Data Removal: After the 30-day period, all your personal identifiable information will be permanently deleted or anonymized, including your name, email address, contact information, and any other data that could identify you personally.
- Business Analytics Data Pseudonymization: For legitimate business interests including system optimization, usage analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvement, certain non-personal usage data may be retained in anonymized form with all personal identifiers removed or replaced with generic markers such as "[redacted - account deleted]". This pseudonymized data cannot be linked back to you and includes:
- AI Usage Analytics: Anonymized records of AI feature usage, token consumption, and system performance data with prompts replaced by "[redacted - account deleted]"
- System Activity Logs: Technical logs for system performance monitoring with all personal identifiers (email, name, IP address, user agent) removed or anonymized
- Service Improvement Data: Aggregated usage patterns and system metrics that help us optimize our platform for all users
- GDPR Compliance: This pseudonymization approach complies with GDPR requirements as the retained data cannot reasonably be used to identify you, serves legitimate business interests, and follows data minimization principles by only keeping what is necessary for operational analytics.
- Backup Retention: Your deleted personal data may persist in our backup systems for up to 12 months after deletion for legitimate business purposes including disaster recovery, system integrity, and legal compliance. Backup data is not accessible for operational use and will be purged according to our data retention schedule.
- Audit Trail: We maintain minimal deletion records (email, name, deletion date, and administrator who processed the deletion) solely for compliance and audit purposes. This information cannot be used to reconstruct your account or personal data.
- URL Availability: Your teacher URL slug will not be available for reuse after deletion to prevent impersonation or confusion.
- No Recovery: Once the grace period expires, deleted accounts cannot be recovered or restored under any circumstances.
- Third-Party AI Services Limitation: While we can delete or pseudonymize data within our systems, we cannot control or guarantee deletion of prompts and content that were previously sent to third-party AI service providers (such as OpenAI). These services operate under their own data retention policies, and any content shared with AI services may persist according to their terms and privacy policies.
Identity Verification
Right to Verify Identity: We reserve the right to request additional identity verification documentation in the following circumstances:
- Account Security: Suspected unauthorized access, account compromise, or security concerns
- Age Verification: To ensure COPPA compliance, particularly for accounts created with questionable age information
- Billing Issues: Disputes, chargebacks, or payment verification requirements
- Account Recovery: When requesting access to accounts after password or email changes
- Legal Compliance: When required by law enforcement, legal process, or regulatory requirements
- Terms Violations: When investigating potential violations of these Terms of Service
Verification Methods: We may request government-issued photo identification, utility bills, school district verification, or other reasonable documentation. Failure to provide requested verification may result in account suspension or termination.
Data Protection: Any identification documents provided for verification will be used solely for verification purposes and will be securely deleted within 30 days of successful verification.

Third-Party AI Service Providers and Data Processing
IMPORTANT PRIVACY DISCLOSURE: ClassObjectives AI features are powered by third-party artificial intelligence services, primarily OpenAI's GPT models and potentially other AI providers. - Avoid Sensitive Information: Do not include student names, personal information, confidential school data, or sensitive details in AI prompts
- Generic Prompts: Use general educational terms rather than specific student or school information
- Opt-Out Option: You can choose not to use AI features entirely while still accessing all other ClassObjectives functionality
- Review Before Submitting: Always review your prompts before sending to ensure they don't contain sensitive information
No Control Over AI Provider Practices: ClassObjectives has no control over third-party AI providers' data handling practices, retention policies, or use of submitted content. We cannot guarantee deletion of content sent to AI services, even if you delete your ClassObjectives account.
Liability Disclaimer: By using AI features, you acknowledge and accept that your educational content will be processed by third-party AI services, and you agree that ClassObjectives is not responsible for third-party data handling practices or any consequences arising from AI service processing of your content.
